Silicon Metal (Metallic Silicon)
Metallic Silicon, or silicon, is one of the most widely used elements. It increases the castability of the metal, often alloyed with aluminum. It supports the ferritic structure in cast iron and contributes to its strength properties. It is preferred over FerroSilis in steel production, especially in alloys where carbon and aluminum are undesirable.
